We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Job Summary :
Part-time Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support the Legal Department of Collin College. Candidates must have excellent organization, research, computer, written and verbal skills.
The ability to maintain efficiency and attention to detail is essential in this position.
Work hours are Monday through Friday, scheduled during the college's normal business hours, with overtime as needed.

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects.
If the use of arm and / or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Occasional physical effort required.
Requirements
Associate degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of (3) three years prior experience as legal assistant, paralegal, and / or filing clerk.
Prior experience in managing litigation files, transactional files, real estate files, and experience in responding to subpoenas and Public Information Act (PIA) or FOIA requests preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
Paralegal Studies Certificate or related law office certifications required.
