We are looking for a Senior Electrical Designer to join our Buildings Team!
The Electrical Designer is responsible to apply electrical project design support. Electrical Designers evaluate, select and apply standard techniques and procedures, using knowledge of building codes and regulations to create/modify designs and drawings.
Responsibilities:Participate in design development
Assist in the creation of specification packages
Assist in verifying all design aspects comply with local code and apply code provisions
Suggest new ideas and processes, stay informed of developments in practice areas, and view obstacles as opportunities
Collaborate with the client; act as the Bergmann representative on some projects
Mentor and advise junior staff as needed
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years electrical (architectural) design experience. We are looking for an Electrical Designer with a passion for power, lighting and fire alarm design with proficient skills working in REVIT, CAD and AGI Lighting Software.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
Design and technical experience working in coordination with other disciplines
Proficient in REVIT
Proficient in AGI
Experience working in CAD
Ability to research code provisions, products, material information, etc.
Ability to coordinate information exchange between clients, project manager, and project team
Ability to multitask
Willingness to mentor new designers and interns
Verbal and written
A team player and be able to work independently
