Colliers Engineering & Design is Hiring a Cybersecurity Technician Near Holmdel, NJ

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Cybersecurity Technician to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Technician, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and information systems by leveraging Microsoft's suite of security products and solutions. Under the guidance of senior cybersecurity professionals, you will contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of security controls while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and evolving field.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft security products, including but not limited to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Azure Security Center, and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Monitor security events and alerts generated by Microsoft security tools and collaborate with our 24/7 SOC to investigate potential threats and take appropriate action in response to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with systems and networking teams to integrate Microsoft security solutions into existing infrastructure and workflows, ensuring comprehensive protection of systems and data.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews of security configurations, policies, and permissions to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Participate in the analysis and reporting of security data and metrics to support decision-making and compliance efforts.
  • Stay informed about updates, features, and best practices related to Microsoft security products through training, documentation, and community engagement.
  • Support ongoing security awareness and training initiatives for end-users to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness and responsibility.
  • Participate in basic networking tasks such as configuring and maintaining network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), monitoring network traffic, and implementing network security controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Computer science or related field.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • industry certifications from CompTIA, Cisco, Palo Alto, SANS preferred.
