Look no further than the Colleton River Club! We are currently seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our esteemed team in delivering warm and gracious hospitality to our members and guests, as Golf Course Maintenance Professional Interns for 3-, 6-, and 12-month internships.

A day in the life of a Golf Course Maintenance and Landscaping Professional at Colleton River Club:

As a GCM professional, you will operate light motorized equipment, and trucks on the golf course, and perform work as needed for golf course maintenance.

• Mows greens, tees, collars, approaches, rough, and fairways.
• Aerifies and spikes greens.
• Verticuttings trees and greens.
• Assists in daily course setup.

Lifestyle Schedule:

• Dayshift
• Every other weekend 
• 6 am start time

Requirements

How to know if you’re the individual for this career opportunity?

You’re willing and able to learn to:

• Maintain gasoline, oil, and other equipment fluid levels daily, report equipment problems and failures to mechanics or supervisors immediately.
• Ensure that all equipment receives visual pre-operation checklist inspection as directed by the Equipment Manager.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment as directed and returns equipment to the designated location at the shop.
• Utilize loaders to remove dirt, debris, and other materials.
• Drive a tractor and trailer to haul materials and refuse.
• Operate portable pumps.
• Perform other duties as directed by his/her supervisor including but not limited to those of Level I Equipment Operator.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or a graduate of turfgrass management or related field for 3-, 6-, and 12-month internship.
• All levels of experience in golf course maintenance and landscaping

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record

FOR GCM INTERNSHIP PROGRAM ONLY - Housing Accommodation may be provided for Interns. Internship Program starts May 2024, early application is encouraged.
