Residence Life at CV:

The Residence Life department is committed to enhancing and promoting a positive campus-like experience with the benefits of apartment living. The Residence Life staff prides themselves on providing a range of services to the residents of Collegiate Village; these range from sponsoring fun, informative and social events to various levels of support for students in need of personal, academic, social or apartment lifestyle guidance. The Residence Life Staff is present both during and outside of office hours, making them an essential part of assisting Management in applying the lease rules and regulations consistently to ensure the quiet enjoyment of the premises by all residents.

Resident Coordinator Job Description:

The Resident Coordinator (RC) is an essential part of the Residence Life team. Reporting to the Director of Residence Life, the RC is responsible for supervising the Community Assistants and Front Desk staff, while working to foster a sense of community within Collegiate Village and maintain an atmosphere conducive to personal well-being and learning. In doing so, the RC also handles the administrative and operations aspects of the office. The duties of the RC include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and participate in training for the Community Assistants and Front Desk Assistants.
• Have knowledge of the Community Assistant and Front Desk job descriptions and handbooks.
• Lead staff meetings, providing up to date information regarding CV while developing staff both personally and professionally, conducting ongoing evaluation of performance.
• Manage with Key System: organizing system, creating keys for incoming/transferring residents, replacing lost keys, and programming property. Computer and Technological knowledge is preferred as the key system is computer based.
• Managing supply orders and vendor relationships.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Department to ensure the property is always in excellent condition.
• Manage apartment inspections for new residents moving in.
• Responsible for room inspection process and charges.
• Be well-informed of Collegiate Village policies, procedures and regulations while being able to communicate and enforce them.
• Respond to student questions, emergencies, problems and concerns.
• Act as a positive role model for residents and staff.
• Participate in all relevant staff training and mandatory events, such as CV Open House and Move in Days.
• Member of the nightly and weekend on call rotation.
• Night and weekend availability is required. Candidate must live on site.
• 40 hours per week (flexible with class schedules).
• Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Residence Life.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Higher Education or Student Affairs (preferred). Bachelor’s Degree (required). Enjoy working as part of a team, hardworking, open-minded, good natured, and likes to laugh.

Compensation: Hourly wage of $18.00-$20.00 and participation in company benefit package.
