PORTER/CLEANERJob Description:Responsible for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the property and grounds; the appearance of building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings of multi-family residential apartments; sidewalk and front stairwell snow and ice removal and monitoring seasonally.
Job Responsibilities:Meticulously maintains total property appeal. Responsible for meticulous cleaning/sanitizing of building interiors; assist in upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
Assist in the preparation of market ready units, including remove trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready.
Assist Maintenance Team/Property Manager and/or perform assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
Assist Maintenance Team with snow removal when needed.
Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Resident Relations:Represent the community in a professional manner at all times-on/off property.
Uphold all company policies, goals and values.
Maintains the highest level of personal appearance by being clean and professional and by wearing company provided gear, ID tag, etc.
Safety:Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
Learns and ensures compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
Immediately report all unsafe conditions to Maintenance Technician.
Essential Job Functions:Performs cleaning, sanitizing, and light maintenance tasks and services throughout assigned property including apartments, models, halls, common areas, leasing office, clubhouses.
Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.
Ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
Successfully pass a background check.
Demonstrate ability to perform tasks described above without seeking outside assistance.
Demonstrate ability to contribute to and foster a team approach to serving residents and maintaining a successful community.
Employees must fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with policies, rules, and procedures of the company, including those set out in the Employee Handbook, or otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to employees.
Prolongs periods of standing and must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
