General Summary: Under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor, on an assigned shift, the Cook will be responsible for planning, supervising, preparing and cooking all food and the preparation and making of beverages in a kitchen providing meals daily for 100 or more persons. Will plan, supervise and review the work of subordinates engaged in preparation, cooking, serving food, kitchen maintenance and working the cash register.

2. Preferred Requirements – An Associate Degree. Knowledge of tribal college student services issues. Excellent oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
3. Special Considerations – Ability to speak the Muscogee (Creek) language is preferable but not a requirement. Native American and veteran preference.
4. Special Requirements-Regular exposure to extreme temperature changes, odors and loud noises; must be able to bend, lift, stoop. Lift above shoulders and carry 30 pounds; may perform shift work; willing to ear and maintain uniforms including head covering; may be required to carry equipment up to 50 pounds; Hepatitis A & B shots required.
Licensure/Certifications (if appropriate): Valid Driver’s License. Safe Food Handling and Sanitation Certification.
