College of Southern Idaho is Hiring a Radiologic Technology Program Manager (1158-127) Near Twin Falls, ID

This is a full-time, 11-month contract faculty position. This individual serves as director and instructor for the JRCERT-Approved AAS Degree Radiologic Technology Program in Radiography. Emphasis is on planning, organizing, coordinating, budgeting, evaluating, and revising didactic and clinical education in accordance with JRCERT Standards. This individual also serves as the principal academic advisor for pre-rad tech students and rad tech majors. Faculty act as role models to students and the college community. Efforts to improve instruction, student relationships and student retention are expected. Faculty at CSI are expected to always be prepared for class, enthusiastic, and committed to the ideal that all students can and will learn given an educational environment that is stimulating, compassionate and equitable.

Duties & Responsibilities

Working in a team-oriented environment, must utilize sound judgment and confidentiality, excellent organizational and prioritization skills to handle concurrent tasks in an efficient and timely manner, excellent communication skills, and superior skills in dealing with people courteously and effectively in person and on the telephone. Duties include:

* Program administration.

* Policy and procedures

* Curriculum

* Laboratory and classroom instruction

* Educational resources

* Competency-based clinical education

* Professional development of clinical instructors

* On-going assessment of program outcomes

* Budget planning

* Mandatory continuing education (to maintain ARRT Radiography credential.)

* Student academic advisement

* Supervision of clinical coordinator, clinical instructors, and students.

* Leadership for continued program development

* Program advisory committee (ex-officio)

* Student selection

* Other duties as assigned by the HSHS Department Chair.

Interpersonal Skills

* Possess superior skills in dealing with different people courteously and effectively.

* Good customer relation skills; ability to be firm but compassionate.

* Experience in easily handling constant change.

* Ability to manage conflict.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality in all personnel matters.

Required Qualifications/Skills

* Master's level or higher preparation in a field of education.

* Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising.

* Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent, in radiography.

* At least 2 years' experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program.

* At least 3 years' clinical experience in the professional discipline.

* Proficiency teaching in didactic and clinical settings.

* Experience operating and maintaining an on-campus energized radiography laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's level preparation in radiologic technology or a related field (i.e., health sciences, human services, education, administration).

* Competence in radiation safety practices.

* Competence in developing and teaching online Zoom-type classes.

* Computer literate in word processing, Internet, E-mail, PowerPoint, photocopier, telephone system, web design, radiology digital image processing workstations, computed radiography, digital radiography.

* Possess excellent writing skills, including grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills.

* Possess critical thinking skills and be a self-motivator.

* Ability to manage multiple, complex projects concurrently with good judgment and professionalism in dealing with pressures and meeting deadlines.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

College campus, classroom, on-campus energized lab, and clinical radiology environments. May occasionally require extra hours to meet deadlines or assist in other duties as assigned. Considerable multi-tasking.
