Job Description
Under the direction of the Jerome Center Director, the Off-Campus Enrollment Specialist (OCES) is responsible for serving as a primary point of contact for enrollment and advising services, while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the Center.
The position focuses on providing bilingual (English and Spanish languages) comprehensive services and support to students, parents, staff, faculty, and community members in the service area.
The OCES position is the primary and initial point of contact for new and continuing students at CSI and is responsible for assisting students in the admissions and advising enrollment processes, financial aid and scholarship completion, course registration, record handling and other requirements that support the institution’s enrollment and retention goals.
The OCES is the frontline representative for CSI and heavy emphasis will be placed on the Specialist having a positive, can-do demeanor that is welcoming and inviting, as well as the ability to perform the detailed technical responsibilities of the position.
The OCES is responsible to interpret and respond to prospective and current student inquiries in-person, via the telephone or virtual appointments, and electronically regarding admissions, advising, bridge, career services, registration, financial aid and scholarships, enrollment status, in addition to adhering to the policies and procedures in place at the college.
Individuals in this position gather information from current and prospective students to best understand and evaluate individual circumstances;
interpret relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines to determine the best course of action.
The OCES is responsible to refer students to the appropriate department(s) for additional assistance, as necessary. A hallmark of this position is providing comprehensive and exceptional customer service in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
OCES’s must have a strong work ethic may be required to work extended hours to accommodate students, schedules, and workflow needs.
OCES’s regularly answer general telephone inquiries and student outreach contacts. Additionally, the OCES’s may be responsible for supporting students at the various on and off-campus locations.
