Description

Under the direction of the Regional Coordinator, the Wellness Center Manager oversees all the operations and activities of the Center including access and referral services, life skills workshops, vocational awareness, self-care opportunities, creative arts activities, peer support, access to tangible goods, and provides crisis intervention. The Wellness Center Manager also attends community meetings, mental health board and SCAC meetings and advocacy events. 

Pay: 17.83 per hour | Full-time | 37.5 hours p/w

Requirements

• High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or
• Bachelor’s degree in a related mental health discipline.
• A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written; attention to detail, and ability to multi–task and stay organized.
• Track record of engagement and passion for building the community.
• Knowledge of wellness, the mental health system and community resources.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and have strong computer skills.
• Ability to make and maintain contacts and positive relationships with individuals who receive or have received mental health and/or substance abuse services.
• Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
• Valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
