Collaborative Partners Initiative is Hiring a Grant and Client Relations Specialist Near Seattle, WA

Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, the Grant and Client Relations Specialist is the primary point of contact for Collaborative Partners Initiative (CPIN) clients, including client onboarding, drafting proposals and work agreements, and tracking client requests, projects, and deliverables. Additionally, in conjunction with the Grant and RFP Writing team, the Grant and Client Relations Specialist will work to develop grant proposals, review proposals prior to submission, and perform post-award compliance and reporting.

This is a part-time remote position anticipated for 20 - 24 hours a week. Candidates will be considered in Washington State only. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude, growth mindset, and interest in joining a growing small business and actively working to expand their role within the company. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports proposal development activities for grants, contracts, Request for Proposals, or other funding mechanism for the Company or Company’s Clients.
  • Creates schedules and tracking calendars.
  • Attends client meetings as needed.
  • May register the Company or Company’s Clients in application portals or procurement systems.
  • May schedule and participate in Client or Company meetings.
  • Advises on grant or program implementation.
  • Reviews contract terms and conditions to determine all necessary compliance activities.
  • Reviews invoices, payroll statements, receipts, and similar project-related financial documentation.
  • Tracks deadlines for reporting and ensures all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Prepares and delivers progress reports.
  • Assists with closeout requirements and final reporting.
  • Creates positive relationships with clients and sponsor agencies.
  • Creates and maintains positive relationships with CPIN clients, community partners, and individual program participants.
  • In cooperation with the Community Outreach Specialist, coordinates efforts to prospect new potential clients and partners.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for client communications.
  • Prepares and distributes information to the rest of the Grant and RFP Writing team.
  • Manages client expectations, establishes and maintains deadlines for deliverables, and serves as the liaison between other CPIN team members and client contacts.
  • In cooperation with the Executive Leadership Team, drafts proposals and work agreements for new or existing clients.
  • Performs onboarding tasks for new clients, including ensuring that work agreements are signed prior to work being performed, intake forms are completed, and a client file is created.
  • Regularly meets with clients in order to ensure that all of their needs are met.
  • Regularly reviews ongoing CPIN projects and clients to ensure a complete understanding of our products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, professional writing, communications, or a similar discipline.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in proposal writing, post-award compliance, or other related fields.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in a client relations or customer service role.
  • Two or more years of experience working with community based organizations, non-profit organizations, or local government organizations.
  • Technical fluency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe DC, and Google Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
