The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) has immediate openings for the 2023 - 2024 school year for per diem on-site Substitute Teachers to be placed on our call list to work with at-risk adolescents in residential facilities run by the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services (DYS) in Westborough, Grafton, and Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to experience teaching in an alternative setting in which you can make a difference in the life of a young person. We hope you will join us in this rewarding work!

• You value professionalism, positive youth development and culturally responsive teaching.
• You have a passion for teaching, or have taught, youth who have been placed at risk.
• You welcome an opportunity to teach small, personalized classes which focus on academic and behavioral success.
• You have a High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree, preferred.

Highlights of What You Will Do:

• Provide effective, high quality, direct educational instruction to youth assigned to DYS.
• Participate and implement effective instructional strategies and research based curriculum.
• Provide substitute teaching instruction, involves traveling between locations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
