OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Transload Supervisor will be second in command and will work closely with the Transload Manager to oversee the transfer of cargo between different modes of transportation, mainly tankers into railcars.

JOB DUTIES:

• Loading and unloading a variety of bulk liquid products from truck tankers into railcars in a safe and timely manner.
• Operate railcar loading systems and equipment.
• Participate in safety training.
• Ensure tracks are locked out and blue tags placed before start of work.
• Keep storage containers neat and clean.
• Assist team with maintenance and clean-up.
• Provides accurate track list of railcars on site with estimated product amounts.
• Pull product samples from railcars per customer guidelines.
• Conduct and document safety and toolbox meetings.
• Planning and management of day-to-day maintenance and process operations.
• Complete and file all necessary paperwork.
• Train and develop team members.
• Convey and enforce compliance of procedures.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management is essential.
• Understanding rail, trucking, and containerized shipping processes.
• Ability to address challenges related to material handling, safety, and efficiency.
• Effective communication with team members, clients, and vendors.
• Flexibility to handle varying workloads and adapt to changing circumstances.
• A willingness to work weekends, holidays and overtime as required to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Proven self-starter

COMPENSATION:

Starting Salary Range: $20.00 to $25.00 DOE

Full Salary Range: $20.00 to $30.00
