Job Summary: As the Global IT Infrastructure Manager, you would be responsible for implementing, maintaining and ensuring world-class strategic and day-to-day operations of Cold Jet’s network and security infrastructure worldwide.
Your Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Analyze the computer and information needs of Cold Jet from an operational and strategic perspective, and determine immediate and long-range equipment requirements.
Evaluate the newest and most innovating technologies and determine how these can help Cold Jet stay abreast of the latest technology to be on the lookout for developments that could benefit Cold Jet and to assure that Cold Jet does not lag behind best practice standards.
Apprise management about upgrades and/or new products that would enhance Cold Jet’s operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Plan and coordinate system utilization and perform growth analysis and capacity planning.
Work with system owners/stakeholders to meet technical and business goals.
Plan, coordinate and assign resource to projects to meet immediate and future needs.
Network Infrastructure Architecture and Administration:
Perform systems/applications analysis/design to provide innovative IT solutions.
Manage and plan technical standards and manage the daily IT issues of Cold Jet.
Plan, coordinate and implement Cold Jet’s information security.
Install security software, monitor for security breaches, and respond to cyber-attacks.
Plan and coordinate activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware and software, programming and systems design, development of computer networks, and servers.
Design, install and support Cold Jet’s LAN (local area network) and WAN (wide area network).
Implement and manage network back-up, archival and DR activities.
Set-up access for new employees; terminate access for departing employees.
Manage all activities and maintenance of Windows Server, VMWare, and SaaS applications.
Monitor and report licenses on applications to ensure compliance.
Manage warranties and service agreements on IT products and services.
Telecom Systems Administration:
Implement, maintain and troubleshoot global telecom system (UCaaS).
Manage mobile/wireless phone accounts (US).
Management, Training and User Support:
Manage all Cold Jet IT network administrators and global help support personnel, providing goals, vision, expectations to the team, managing their performance, and sponsoring their professional development.
Set a standard for internal service and drive for team results.
Create and track performance metrics.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Provide training to Cold Jet employees on the best use of our computer systems and security.
Make recommendations about the kind of computer training that would be beneficial to Cold Jet, as well as the employees who would likely benefit the most.
Provide computer security training and monitoring to all Cold Jet employees.
Troubleshoot and resolve global IT issues.
Your Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (min) in a related field required.
Minimum 5 years experience in network management.
3 years experience in network architecture, automation and security implementation.
2 years experience in global SD-WAN management.
Skills:
Knowledge of SAN and virtualization.
Knowledge of SD-WAN implementation.
Knowledge and understanding of LAN administration in a secure environment.
Knowledge of systems security protocol, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of data security and disaster recovery systems and procedures.
Knowledge of SQL and data management techniques.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
Ability to identify complex computer problems and to determine and coordinate solutions.
