Job Summary
Responsible for the supervision, direction, communication, and development of the Ready Mix (RM) plants.
Main Responsibilities
- Leads plant personnel to ensure efficient operations of the facilities and deliveries to customers
- Handles staff levels, schedules, etc.
- Assesses and analyzes departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits
- Identifies potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to improve efficiency and revenue
- Finds opportunities to expand or shift course to take advantage of changes in the market
- Prepares sales forecasting
- Coordinates yearly maintenance budget for RM department
- Ensures universal policies and procedures are accepted and maintained throughout the RM department
- Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and aligned with laws and regulations
- Lead employee activities and provides mentorship where needed
- Ensure job expectations are communicated clearly
- Encourages a positive work environment and culture for all employees
- Deals with customer complaints
- Handles employee performance issues
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business or Engineering
- Proven track record in the field
- Valid Driver’s License
- Good people and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong digital literacy
- Confirmed ability to work with others as a team
- Ability to strategize, plan, and implement
- Able to succeed with minimal direction
Physical Requirments
- Variable hours and shifts (including Saturdays as needed)
- Work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Out of town travel possible w/ trainings/seminars
- Exposed to mechanical equipment and moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
- Noise level is moderate
