The People & Culture (P&C) Manger is an integral member of the North-East People & Culture team. In this role, you will develop a solid foundation of HR knowledge and experience, and you will have the opportunity to build relationships with new employees, staff, and partners within the firm. The ideal candidate seeks career growth within human resources, and you will provide general and administrative HR support to the North-East team.

The People & Culture Manager will provide coaching and guidance regarding HR in areas such as policy and procedure while developing trusting relationships with leadership and employees.

This role reports to the Office Managing Partner and Regional People & Culture Director and will serve as a business partner to ensure HR strategies are aligned to support the business strategies and objectives for the local office, as well as contribute to regional and national human resources programs and initiatives.

The People & Culture Manager will drive value added talent solutions for projects and initiatives including, but not limited to:

  • onboarding
  • talent management
  • performance management
  • workforce planning
  • mentoring
  • development
  • annual compensation process
  • employee life cycle activities
  • recognition programs
  • change management
  • employee engagement

You will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field required, PHR/SHRM-CP highly preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of HR generalist experience with progressive leadership experience; professional services industry experience preferred (ideally on the client service side)
  • Proven employee relations experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of New Jersey and Federal employment law
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with leadership and employees
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to handle and document sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Business acumen or ability to quickly acquire business knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills to identify business trends and make drive initiatives
  • Proficient MS Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • HRCI PHR or SHRM-CP designation
  • HR experience in professional services industry, Advisory, public accounting
  • Excel, UltiPro, Oleeo, Cornerstone, and RedCarpet systems experience
  • Experience in Adaptive budgeting software
