Location: Lexington Park, MD

Position: Quality Inspector

Function:

Coherent Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector who is responsible for inspecting a wide variety of parts, assemblies, tooling fixtures and material to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company specifications, and quality requirements. This position performs inspection activities, to assess conformance of products to the design as defined by the engineering drawings and/or models.

Education:

HS diploma or GED.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years inspection experience in an Aerospace or similar technical environment.

• Experienced with use of technical drawings, and following manufacturing work instructions and inspection procedures.

• Basic computer knowledge; e.g., Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to use various measurement devices (calipers, pin gauges, go/no-go gauges, etc.) to verify mechanical part compliance

• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and able to verify parts dimensions against drawing requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance

• Ability to stand for extended hours during inspection and lift 50lbs

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
