Cohere Health is Hiring a Remote Manager, User Acceptance Training

Company Overview:

Cohere Health is illuminating healthcare for patients, their doctors, and all those who are important in a patient’s healthcare experience, both in and out of the doctors office. Founded in August, 2019, we are obsessed with eliminating wasteful friction patients and doctors experience in areas that have nothing to do with health and treatment, particularly for diagnoses that require expensive procedures or medications. To that end, we build software that is expressly designed to ensure the appropriate plan of care is understood and expeditiously approved, so that patients and doctors can focus on health, rather than payment or administrative hassles.

Opportunity Overview:

The Manager, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications by overseeing the User Acceptance Testing process. The Manager, UAT is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of UAT, ensuring that the testing activities align with project objectives and meet quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Last but not least: People who succeed here are empathetic teammates who are candid, kind, caring, and embody our core values and principles. We believe that diverse, inclusive teams make the most impactful work. Cohere is deeply invested in ensuring that we have a supportive, growth-oriented environment that works for everyone.

What you will do:Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement UAT strategies, plans, and timelines in coordination with project management and development teams.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to define UAT scope, objectives, and success criteria.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of UA testers, providing guidance on testing methodologies, test case design, and execution.
  • Assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and ensure the team adheres to testing standards and best practices

Test Planning and Design:

  • Work closely with business analysts to translate business requirements into comprehensive and effective test cases.

Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, development teams, and other QA team members to ensure a shared understanding of testing objectives.
  • Participate in walkthroughs and meetings to address questions and provide clarity on requirements.

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed records of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
  • Create and update testing documentation as needed.

Regression Testing:

  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or changes do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  • Document and report any regression issues to the development team.

Communication:

  • Provide regular updates on UAT progress, including test execution status, issues, and risk mitigation.
  • Report and escalate critical issues to the UAT Leader and project stakeholders in a timely manner.

Quality Assurance:

  • Adhere to established testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of UAT processes.

Your background & requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience required
  • Proven experience in user acceptance testing or a similar quality assurance role
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
