Job Summary

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Java Full Stack Engineer with experience developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications.

You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Location: Pleasanton, CA – Onsite

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000.00 – $160.000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze user requirements
• Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
• Develop Java EE applications
• Write well-designed, efficient code
• Review, test and debug team members’ code
• Design database architecture
• Schedule product releases with internal teams
• Document development phases
• Ensure our applications are secure and up-to-date

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

• 10 experience and having experience/Hands-on knowledge on Java, Spring Boot, Microservice and Azure Cloud.
• Experience with Kafka Azure Mongo DB and Hibernate is highly desirable.
• Understand the existing Java code, understand the application.
• Strong knowledge on writing SQL DB and gather/share the required information.
• Flexible enough to work and coordinate with offshore IST timezone.
• First POC for any development activities required on priroity during onsite time.
• Communicate well with the existing FTE Customer tech leads and Customer director on the functionality, feature developments, underlying stability issues and improvement strategies.
• Must possess Retail work experience.
