Cognizant Technology Solutions is looking for “Cobol Developer with Energy/Utility” to join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. Location : Albuquerque - NM

Roles & Responsibilities:

Energy/Utility domain background

• 5-8 years in utility industry with extensive knowledge in CIS, billing processes, meter to cash processes

• Strong business analysis skills and documentation skills (able to create a business requirements document, functional specification etc)

• Ability to schedule and conduct meetings with business and IT stakeholders

• Ability to analyze any system exceptions and simulate the problem /ticket

• Ability to co-ordinate and work with offshore development team

• Strong knowledge of database technologies and willingness to learn multiple technologies including SQL, PL/SQL, Linux Shell scripting, Automic etc.

• Experience Required:

• 5-8 years in utility industry with extensive knowledge in CIS, billing processes, meter to cash processes

• Strong business analysis skills and documentation skills (able to create a business requirements document, functional specification etc)

• Strong COBOL background SQL, PL/SQL, Automic batch job scheduler

• Knowledge of Banner Product
