The role: This position is responsible for Purchasing Global Accessory Demand and supporting Cognex Purchasing Essential Functions: Manage and Support Global Purchasing for circa 2000 Accessory items within Cognex across 100 different suppliers Run, Release and Action MRP on a daily basis Expedite delivery of material to meet Cognex customer demands Maintain PO due dates in the Cognex business system (SAP) Provide daily updates on the delivery and commitment of material to the OA group within Cognex Work with Packaging supplier to maintain required inventory levels of packaging in-house Manage and take responsibilities specific KPIs relating to Accessory Purchasing such as OTR, Invoice Issues, Receiving Issues and MRB Be a Key resource for all purchasing related projects Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Able to work in a team environment with flexible work conditions. Understand and negotiate vendor commits. Analyze data and understand it Manage a supplier to meet requirements Drive schedule changes to meet ever changing requirements Knowledge of SAP an advantage Strong attention to detail Interpret ECOs, BOMs, Process Flows Proficient in PC quality data entry, MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
