Cogir Senior Living (formerly Cadence Living) is hiring a friendly, diligent, and energetic Housekeeper/Maintenance assistant to join the growing team in our premier retirement community Cogir of Brea .
Our housekeepers follow specific directions and schedules. They are responsible for cleaning residents' apartments on a weekly basis or as needed, while interacting in a friendly and courteous manner, to ensure resident and family member satisfaction. They must be thorough in their work and pay attention to details while cleaning, polishing, and sanitizing public, common, and bathroom areas, as well as offices. In this role, you will also support our Maintenance Director with some minor maintenance-related, handyman-type assignments.

What will you do as a Housekeeper?
  • Maintain all assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition, including residents' apartments, common areas, and outside spaces.
  • Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, mop, and sweep all areas of the establishment.
  • Ensure that the walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in the common areas of the community are well-maintained
  • Follow community cleaning schedule and protocol according to community guidelines, following established safety precautions.
  • Report all repair requests or safety hazards, and complete assigned repair requests and work orders.
  • Laundry duties as assigned.
  • Ensure that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times.
If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:
  • A positive team player mentality and passion for serving seniors.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses, and cleaning equipment is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and high integrity.
  • Previous maintenance experience or general maintenance skillset is highly preferred, including HVAC, drywall repair and texturing, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, basic repairs, painting, floor care, and/or landscaping.
  • Previous experience working in a hotel, Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus!
