Role: Java Kafka Developer

Location: Oaks, PA

Mode of Hire: Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Kafka-based solutions using Apache/Confluent Kafka

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Develop solutions that are deployed on Kafka brokers/clusters

• Develop and maintain solutions on native Kafka libraries, KSQL, KStream, and Kafka connectors

• Develop consumer and producer applications that may need AvroConverters, JsonConverters, and StringConverters

• Utilize automation tools such as Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines

• Implement and maintain code versioning using Git or Bitbucket

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kafka applications and infrastructure

• Troubleshoot and support producer and consumer issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Apache Kafka developer

• Proficiency in Apache/Confluent Kafka and Spring Boot/Java

• Experience with Confluent Kafka Brokers, Schema Registry, Kafka Streams, KSQL DB, and Kafka Connectors

• Strong experience in Kafka deployments (On-Prem K8s or Cloud)

• Good understanding of Kafka client functionality (Producer and consumer)

• Deep knowledge of Kafka best practices and implementation experience

• Strong troubleshooting skills for Kafka application and platform issues

• Fluent in English for effective communication

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
