Coffee House of Troy is a contractor working for 518 Craft to provide Coffee Service.
518 Craft is a bar. As part of your employment you are expected to serve beer and liquor shots as well. As such applicants must be 21 years or older to be in compliance with state liquor laws.

Barista

Duties:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Prepare and serve a variety of handheld snacks such as pastries
- Assist with food preparation, such as baking pastries or preparing handheld snacks
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment
- Operate convection oven and restock refrigerators as well as disposables.
- Prepare and present beverages and foods according to established recipes and quality standards
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
-Be willing and able to serve draft beer during business hours.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly manner
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Knowledge of food service or retail math is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Availability to work between 10 AM to 4PM On Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays
- Availability to work between 8 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 10 pounds
