SUMMARY: 

Assist in maintenance and repair of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel and related properties. The Primary Maintenance Supervisor will assign duties to Maintenance Technicians; perform reviews; complete repairs; and other duties as necessary, working closely with the staff and administration of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel to accomplish these tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure shop supplies are at maintainable levels.
  • Schedule, assign projects and duties, perform evaluations, and maintain departmental personnel files for the Maintenance Technicians.
  • Deliver training directly to staff personnel or schedule resources for both technical and/or other organizational mandated programs and facilitate monthly department/shift team meetings complete with agenda and minutes of any such meeting.
  • Ensure that each department employee has a copy of the employee handbook and is fully recognizant of all department and organizational policies and procedures and provide necessary uniforms and keys as needed while ensuring that the staff provides the highest level of customer service.
  • Review and monitor on a weekly basis all staff time to evaluate attendance in accordance with department and organizational tardy and absenteeism policy and approve employee staff time on a biweekly basis as directed by manager ensuring all documents are completed and submitted to accounting in a timely and consistent manner as prescribed by accounting policies and procedures.
  • Attend monthly management team review meetings as requested by supervisor.
  • Perform minor repairs to assist the facility maintenance department with building needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the general shop area and equipment that is utilized in the various sections of the maintenance department.
  • Perform periodic grounds maintenance including operating power yard equipment, handling snow, and taking measures to reduce hazards of ice.
  • Retrieve and deliver needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Account for tools, equipment, and supplies checked in or out to Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel personnel.
  • Maintain a uniform and appearance suitable for working with the public and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times
  • Attend pertinent workshops and training sessions
  • Attend all departmental team meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Clean and maintain pool area and restrooms, monitor water conditioning, and maintain chemicals and certified record keeping.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and provide evidence of a good driving record.
  • Must have 3 years’ service as a Facility Technician, 5 years preferred.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of the fire alarm system, how to trace the alarm, and how to train other staff to respond to the alarms that may occur is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel building operations, how to respond to various emergencies, and the ability to train other staff is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.
  • Knowledge of operation of power equipment, hand tools, and related safety equipment required.
  • Possess demonstrated initiative, flexibility, organization skills, and dependability in performance of duties.
  • Knowledge and abilities necessary to assist in facility repairs, including plumbing fixtures, independently preferred.
  • Must have a positive and productive attitude.
