Codeworks is Hiring an Instructional Designer Near Camden, NJ

Job Details

We have an 18 month hybrid contract opening for an Instructional (Enablement) Content Developer with our direct client in Camden, NJ requiring work in the office 3 days per week.

The Enablement Content Developer will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and effective learning experiences for the Field team and the Independent DSD Partners to support sales technology initiatives. Working closely with subject matter experts, they will be responsible for designing and creating instructional and educational learning materials such as traditional paper materials (handouts and manuals) as well as eLearning technologies and multimedia. The success of the training content and approach is critical to implementation, so the Enablement Content Developer must have a creative approach and strong content development background.

Job Specifications:

  • We need someone who understands structural design to put together job aids, decks in PowerPoint, scripts, potential training/learning activities to support the content.\
  • Supply Chain network experience would be a huge plus - must be the SME in terms of the build.
  • Need someone to create the instructor led training for a project roll out.
  • E Authoring experience is a huge plus - Captivate and Articulate software for example.
  • they have a project team who has been helping but want a dedicated person to take this on 100%.
  • Bachelor s degree in a related field required.
  • 5 years of experience in instructional content development
  • Proficiency in using authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia creation/editing software (ex Docebo, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate)
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills (written, oral)
  • Familiarity with gamification and interactive learning strategies
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and designing inclusive learning experiences
  • Strong Project Management Skills (including planning/organization/timeline management)
  • Detail oriented.
  • Professional & Confident.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to assess learning needs and develop curriculum.
  • Design and develop instructional materials for navigation and academy training (i.e., video, step-by-steps, manuals, e-learning, instructor-led training materials, etc.)
  • Design, build & test Digital Adoption Platform content.
  • Deliver Field and IDP educational sessions (virtually)
  • Coordinate with release manager to prepare release training.
  • Manage training technology (i.e., Learning Management System (Docebo) and Digital Adoption Platform)
  • Schedule guest speakers to provide demos.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of instructional materials and business goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to deployment team and field champions in the delivery of educational programs.
  • Stay informed about of industry trends and best practices in instructional design, e-learning and educational technology.
  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to continuously improve and update existing educational programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Complexity / Scope:

  • Logical ability to explain technical functionality and translate to on-the-job everyday application.
  • Navigate an integrated model of DSD and Direct delivery.
  • Cultivate engagement with third-party independent distributors through instructional materials.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships (including virtually).
  • Ability to influence all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Working Conditions

  • Travel required (approximately 10%).
  • The consultant must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
