Position Overview

Migration Architect (Powerscale/Isilon)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Hadoop Developer/Data Engineer, with at least 5 of experience in designing and implementing data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies, including HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, etc.
• Experience in upgrading Hadoop clusters to PowerScale or similar distributed file systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, etc., for developing data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
