About the role

codeCampus is seeking to hire and train Summer Camp Teachers in the McClellan Park/Sacramento area for Summer 2024 and beyond. As a Summer Camp Teacher, you will:

• Work with site staff in our summer program in our partner schools within the Twin Rivers Unified School District
• Lead STEAM lessons for students in their classrooms using our proprietary curriculum
• Teach students in grades TK - 8
• Classes run Monday to Thursday from 2:00pm - 4:30pm

About you

This role is great for early-career educators, or seasoned educators who have availability during the summer. Candidates for this position must possess the following qualifications:

• Available to start training immediately (paid)
• Availability to start working by June 2024 (employment to continue through Fall 2024 and beyond based on performance)
• Available Monday - Thursday from approximately 2:00pm - 4:30pm
• Experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting
• Exceptional communication skills
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Willing to go through our professional development training program

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hour depending on experience, plus commuter benefits, with opportunities for pay raises based on performance and time with the company.
