CODAMETRIX is Hiring an UX Engineer (III/IV) Near Boston, MA

CodaMetrix is revolutionizing Revenue Cycle Management with its AI-powered autonomous coding solution, a multi-specialty AI-platform that translates clinical information into accurate sets of medical codes. CodaMetrix’s autonomous coding supports improved patient care and drives efficiency under fee-for-service and value-based care models.

We are passionate about getting doctors away from the keyboard and back to clinical care. 

The UX Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager. The engineering team is responsible for the technical implementation of our award-winning products. The goal of the team is to produce adaptable, robust, secure products that delight our users.

The UX Engineer works with Product Management and UX to leverage feedback and industry knowledge in user behavior to collaborate on the design and development of inspired customer experiences. The UX Engineer is responsible for designing and overseeing the development of the user interface and the user experience. Additionally, the Software Engineer ensures the technical quality of our UI designs and implementation. 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver adaptive and creative solutions to UI/UX design problems with an ability to think beyond conventional approaches to break down technical challenges that meet design/business expectations.
  • Develop best-in-class user interfaces, with a focus on performance and reliability.
  • Produce technical documentation, software, and supporting test code.
  • Coordinate with other developers in testing of integrated code components, and coordinate with QA testers in resolving discrepancies between software specifications and application behavior.
  • Participate in all team activities, including agile ceremonies and reviews of other engineers designs and code.

Requirements

  • 5 years of development experience in an agile/scrum environment
  • 5 years of experience in UX/Design
  • 5 years of experience doing full stack development
  • 5 years of frontend development; utilizing concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, ES6, as well as significant experience in React /Redux
  • Experience employing design systems and UI frameworks
  • Expert knowledge of UI testing methodologies; including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong knowledge of CSS 3
  • Advance usage of TypeScript
  • Experience working in a startup / fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both management and peers
  • Capable of working independently or within a team environment

Beneficial Experience

  • Experience working in healthcare tech
  • Working experience with frontend tooling like webpack, rollup, rspack, nx
  • Optimization techniques such as module federation or layers
  • Backend technologies like NestJS, Sequelize
  • Experience with end to end testing
  • Computer Science degree or background
