Cobb Hill Construction is Hiring a Project Estimator Near Concord, NH

Cobb Hill Construction, Inc., Concord, NH, seeks Project Estimator: Prepare cost estimates for construction projects to aid management in bidding on or determining cost of services. Construction projects include design-build general contractor services specializing in new homes, historical renovation, commercial and dental construction. Strong analytical and math skills are necessary to perform in this role, as well as the ability to read plans and understand all phases of construction. Specific duties and responsibilities include: Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates, including accurately price and write sub-contractor scope of work. Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products. Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Create a critical path work schedule. Create rough budgets to present to clients. Attend meetings with clients and team via Zoom. Assist with permit process, as necessary. Off-site travel – up to several times per year – to visit job sites for purposes of the estimation process may be necessary. Travel may occasionally involve destinations in Vermont, Massachusetts, and/or Maine, but virtually all such travel will be within the State of New Hampshire. Requires Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Construction Engineering or Construction Management, or other directly related field. Must pass a drug test.
