Cobalt Enterprises LLC is Hiring an Industrial Painter Near Arlington, WA

Cobalt Enterprises is a manufacturer featuring precision-machined parts and assemblies for the aerospace, defense and commercial markets. We are located in Arlington, Washington. We are an equal opportunity employer with competitive wages and pay every week.

We have an opening for a Painter working within our Assembly Department. We are willing to train to paint to aerospace standards.

This position will use paint application techniques and equipment to professionally finish production parts.

Typical Duties:

  • Mix and apply various paint primers, topcoat and clear coats for all aerospace and defense parts according to workorders, BAC, MIL, and customer specifications.
  • Perform cleaning, racking, and touching up per requirements of various finishes. Including but not limited to sanding, filler primer and or top coat touch up on cosmetic finishes and staging of product for next operation.
  • Perform minor maintenance on spray guns, curing oven and paint booth.
  • Perform proper testing and maintain testing logs.
  • Communicate with leadership about process problems and possible solutions.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Work within a defined process to meet quality and time standards including logging in and out of computer data collection system.
  • Support Assembly Department as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Communicate effectively with both oral and written skills.
  • Good organizational skills & ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Work within a team environment where manufacturing and quality work together to ensure quality products are produced.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate and work cooperatively and/or civilly with all employees
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings & specifications
  • Ability to complete assigned work within deadlines and provide consistent work
  • Prefer prior experience in aerospace or other precision machining related field.
  • Prefer prior experience with AS9100 certification requirements related to the role.
  • Prefer knowledge of and/or ability to read engineering / blueprint drawings.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift/handle objects weighing up to 20 lbs. The employee will have prolonged periods of standing and painting and must have adequate balance and ability to distinguish among colors.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary Range - $20/hr to $30.00/hr - Depending on Experience (DOE)
