Description

Join our team at Cobalt Benefits Group and start an exciting new career in employee benefits solutions. As a Reporting Analyst, you’ll play an important role in helping us offer customized, self-funded insurance options to our clients and members.

As a Reporting Analyst, you’ll be part of a small team of data professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Automate Reports: Develop detailed reports for clients and internal departments, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Data Warehouse Development: Assist in maintaining the data warehouse by implementing new processes using tools like SSIS/SSRS.
  • Data Feeds and Integration: Support electronic data feeds to and from external vendors, including systems like Claims system (Javelina) and multiple PBMs.
  • Compliance Reporting: Manage data reporting to multiple state governments as required by law, including financial obligations.

Requirements

  • Database Expertise: Proven knowledge of database concepts and experience writing complex queries using Microsoft SQL Server (minimum version 2016) or other SQL databases.
  • Reporting Tools: Experience creating reports from SQL data sources using Microsoft SSRS (preferred) or similar tools like Power BI, Tableau, Holistics, etc.
  • Excel Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Excel.
  • Programming Skills: Knowledge of programming languages such as C# or VB is advantageous.
  • Reporting Experience: A background in compiling accurate reports in a timely manner, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a reporting or analytics role.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to work professionally with non-technical personnel to determine data needs.
  • Analytical Skills: Problem-solving, statistical, and analytical abilities are essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare, insurance, pharmacy, and reinsurance industries is preferred.
