Coatesville Area School District is Hiring a (20-128) Special Education Aide Near Thorndale, PA

The Special Education Aide helps with the implementation of instructional and non-instructional activities under the supervision of the teacher. This is a 5.75 hours a day on Student Days position. It is 189 days a year. This can either be one on one with a student or with all students in a classroom setting. The Candidate must be able to read materials, provide positive behavioral support and interact calmly with students and adults. He/she should have good communication and interpersonal skills, good organizational skills and work well with students, parents and staff. Computer skills are a plus.
Qualifications: High School Diplome or GED Required. Those without 48 credit hours of post-secondary education will be required to obtain Highly Qualified status within 60 days.
External Candidates must upload required clearances. This includes the Act 34 (State Criminal Clearance), Act 151 (Child Abuse) and Act 114 (FBI Clearance). All Clearances must be within 1 year of application date. Candidates not providing updated clearances will not be considered for employment
