Coastal Waste & Recycling is looking for a motivated and experienced Area Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee our operations in the South Florida Market. If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for excellence and a knack for inspiring others, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

As the Area Fleet Maintenance Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the maintenance and operational readiness of six (6) hauling locations, six (6) material recycling facilities (MRFs), and three (3) transfer stations. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring our fleet is running smoothly and efficiently, meeting all safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Mastery: Evaluate and troubleshoot repairs, manage out-of-service units, and streamline part procurement for all Line of Business (LOB) assets.
• Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure conformance with OSHA and company standards.
• Employee Engagement: Foster a positive culture and promote our Core Values among maintenance staff.
• Operational Excellence: Execute internal audits, ensure DOT regulations compliance, and monitor productivity reports.
• Vendor Management: Oversee vendor repairs, warranty claims, and approve related invoices.
• Training & Development: Mentor new hires and ensure consistent practices, policies, and procedures across all locations.

Qualifications

Qualifications Include:

• Expertise in Refuse Equipment:Deep knowledge of ASL, FEL, REL, Grapple Trucks, Roll-offs, Class 8 tractor and trailer maintenance, and DOT/OSHA guidelines.
• Proven Leader: At least 5 years of managerial experience in a fleet maintenance environment, with a track record of developing mid-level managers.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and fleet management software.
• Multitasker: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
• Excellent Communicator: Strong written and oral communication skills, with Spanish speaking as a plus.
• CDL: Beneficial but not required.
