Coastal Vision Care, LLC is Hiring an Optometrist (FT) Near Goose Creek, SC
We are searching for a qualified optometrist to join our 23 year old practice. The ideal candidate will be expected to use their skills and knowledge to provide high quality vision care to our patients. The duties will include conducting eye examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, fitting contact lenses, diagnosing and treating medical conditions within the scope of practice for South Carolina, and co-managing surgical patients.

- To qualify for this position, you must have an O.D. degree, be state licensed in South Carolina, continuously carry professional liability, and possess an in-depth knowledge of eye related disorders, conditions, and treatments.
- The best candidate will be patient care oriented with excellent communication skills and possess empathy and compassion. It will be necessary to be able to handle a high patient volume that also includes emergencies.
Job Details:This position entails providing patient care at 2 locations in the Charleston area. The number of days per week is flexible as this position can be part or full time. Most days entail up to but not more than 8 hours of patient care. The practice provides as much, if not more, medical care as routine care. We currently have an OCT, fundus camera, and an IPL. We are currently implementing a new EHR.
The practice setting is private but the office space is located next to a retailer with a separate entrance. There is no affiliation or constraints with the retailer other than the leasing of space. This is the purest form of practicing optometry as there is no financial incentive to sell to patients, only to provide the best care and recommendations for the overall health and benefit of a patient.
The compensation package starts at a minimum of $500 per day guaranteed with daily bonuses. For a full time associate, two weeks of paid vacation and the cost of professional liability will be provided. Additionally, $500 towards continuing education is available per renewal period. There is also the option to purchase this high grossing practice and assume future leases at any time as agreed to by all parties.
