Flight Coordinator Job Description

Division/Department: Flight Operations

Location: Coastal Helicopters Inc

Job Title: Flight Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Operations

Hours/week:

• Part time
• Full-time
• Seasonal
• Permanent

Compensation: Starting at $18/hour

General Description:

• Answer phones
• Schedule flights
• Flight follow all company aircraft
• Maintain flight following log
• Monitor freight and baggage for hazardous materials and assist customers with HAZMAT forms
• Post current weather and disseminate any significant changes that may occur throughout the day
• Assist pilots in determining en route and destination weather
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Expectations:

• Punctual
• Highly attentive to detail
• Ability to learn rules and regulations put forth by the Federal Aviation Administration
• Excellent customer service skills

Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• Prior experience preferred by not required
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations a plus
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials Regulations a plus
• Ability to obtain an airport badge (Requires a background check)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
