Coastal Eye Care, PA is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Stuart, FL

Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary patient screenings and assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history
- Assist ophthalmologists in various procedures and examinations, such as measuring visual acuity, tonometry, and administering eye drops
- Conduct diagnostic tests, such as visual field testing, OCT scans, and corneal topography
- Prepare patients for surgery and provide post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and handling billing inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician or in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures, equipment, and terminology
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding processes
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Understanding of basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to the eye
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Please note that sales experience is not required for this position.
