We are seeking aQuality Engineer to join our team! You will be responsible for the design and development of intelligent systems and industrial systems control. A successful candidate will have experience in stamping and assembly with exposure to the weld department.

Responsibilities

Create and improve automated systems and processes

• Interpret CMM and scan data
• Process Improvement/Countermeasure
• PPM/8D/Root Cause Analysis (5-why)/Poka Yoke
• PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
• Control Plan
• PFMEA
• KFD/2D Balloon Drawings
• Inspection Reports
• Support the installation of both mechanical and controls upgrades
• Document all technical procedures and user guides
• Perform Gauge R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) Studies
• Travel: 10-25%
• Normally working 50-60 hours per week. The individual will need to be flexible.

Qualifications

• Background in Metal Stamping quality
• Solid negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong root-cause analysis skills and critical thinking skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Able to read basic and advanced part prints
• Understanding of the ANPQP system and requirements
• Read Basic Measuring Equipment

Education Requirements

Must have HS diploma (Associate's degree in an Engineering field preferred)
