Position Statement:

Third Shift : 11pm- 9am 

This position will make all decisions according to the Client Values and the fundamentals while adhering to all applicable to client process and striving to meet the metrics, scorecards and department goals.

Responsibilities: 

Employee must be able to read instructions set forth on job card, furnace instruments, control plans and follow verbal instructions from supervisor. 

Operation of industrial lift trucks, remote operation of overhead crane and/or equipment after being trained and/or licensed. 

Must be able to walk across various surfaces, including gravel lots and warehouse or plant floors, in order to gather by hand necessary parts for processing in various furnaces. 

Must be able to perform fine hand manipulations of various valves, gauges and levers for daily operation of all support equipment. 

Must be able to sample for hardness of metal by use of a hand grinder, polisher or cutter. 

Must be able to utilize Brinnell (portable and stationary) and Rockwell metal hardness testing devices. 

Must be able to lower baskets and fixtures, of parts, into quench tank and visually inspect. 

Must be able to safety open furnace, washer and cooling station doors

Must be able to clean up work area (including sweeping the area using a broom and dust pan) and dump trash bins. (Can clean area, but cannot dump trash, due to inability to drive forklift)

Must be able to perform all work in a safe manner following all rules and regulations in regards to chemical safety.

Must be able to follow all safety rules on moving parts and industrial trucks.

All assigned tasks must be completed in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness to ensure safety to themselves and the other employees.

Must have regular and predictable attendance.

Must be able to work cooperatively with co-workers, supervisors and management. 

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience

To perform this job successfully and individual must be able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.

Minimum Age – 18 years

Experience – preferably a background in an industrial setting

Education- must be able to read, write, communicate and perform basic math, High School Diploma preferred.

Must be able to follow directions from supervisor.
