Student Ministries Pastor

Main Focus: Building and growing a Spiritually Healthy Youth and Children’s Ministry.

Normal Days: Sunday, Tuesdays, other days.

Requirements

• Must have an established daily rhythm to maintain their spiritual health.
• Must be passionate about how they can reach kids/youth for the Gospel in Fountain Valley mainly, and other nearby areas.
• Must have a mindset to build and grow student ministries, not just maintaining what we already have.
• Must initiate interaction with outside agencies that service youth, using these connections to formulate a plan to reach students for Jesus.
• Must be a leader and initiator that brings energy to revitalize and grow the student ministries.

Responsibilities

Oversight of Youth Program

• Main Focus is on building and growing the student ministries, youth and children.
• Organizing outreaches or activities to attract Youth from the community (Camps, Basketball camps, beach, hiking, etc.).
• Leading, Training, and Facilitating a Discussion Oriented, Sunday morning Youth Class (Bible Focused), and a Tuesday Night Program.
• Regular one-on-one time with students that is discipleship focused.
• Team building with youth
• Recruitment of volunteers
• Organizing Winter and Summer Christian focused Camps (Hume Lake), Service Opportunities (Fundraising)
• Work with Roots Kids: Overseeing Children’s Volunteers and interns, helping to support and grow that ministry.

Working with the Lead Pastor

• Weekly Meetings. For support, encouragement, exploring new ideas to attract younger people

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
