Coast to Coast Site Consultants, LLC is Hiring an Inspector Near Riverview, FL

Under limited supervision, conducts inspections, evaluations and investigations relating to Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems (OSTDS). Compliance with Florida Administrative Codes (FAC), Florida Statutes (FS), and/or other rules and regulations will apply.

Creates Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal System (OSTDS) plans and applications, evaluates site conditions, inspects installed septic systems, performed premature failure investigations, etc.

The position is expected to prepare reports, draft letters, and complete other written correspondence as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Florida Administrative Codes and Florida Statutes related to the duties of the position.
  • Working knowledge of environmental health and related scientific theory and practices applicable to food protection, Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems, general health and sanitation practices, environmental contamination, communicable diseases, sanitation and health nuisance abatement.
  • Some knowledge of chemistry and bacteriology and its relation to water treatment and food sanitation.
  • Knowledge of math is required.
  • Skill in the use of computer and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
  • Skill in the use of equipment relating to OSTDS inspections (soil auger, laser level, sharpshooter shovel, soil probe, and other equipment as needed).
  • Skill and ability to use a Munsell Color Chart to determine soil characteristics.
  • Ability to perform field work, write reports, and prepare legal notices when necessary.
  • Ability to prepare and present information to educate clients, the general public, and community partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to utilize continuous quality improvement techniques and tools to increase efficiency and enhance programmatic outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to prepare effective reports.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds and must be able to move freely around inspection sites, schools, bars, etc., and work outside in high heat and humid conditions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $20.04 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
