Advance General Clerk – Health Information Management

Job Summary:

Performs under the supervision of the HIM Supervisor and in accordance with established policies and procedures, provides functional direction to the staff. Acts a Super User to the various systems in the department process and workflows. Participate in data mining of HIM statistics. Research missing documentation and missing documents. Competent in performing all Clerical Functions in the department as well as other required clerical duties Is considered the back up to these positions within the department.

Education/Experience:

• High School graduate or some college course work
• Working Knowledge of HIPAA and rules, regulations and consent laws
