Coast Flight Training and Management, Inc. is seeking a full charge Flight Lead to lead our fast-growing and recognized industry leading flight training location in Conroe, Texas. We are looking for an individual who possesses strong leadership skills with the ability under the direction of the Vice President of Operations to provide direction to their site’s aviation department, manage their operations and programs, and coordinate program development as well as identify and develop industry partnerships and support.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Ensures that safety is consistently the first priority of Site Operations
• Ensures that the entire operations team is aware of Coast’s mission, their specific goals, and performance goals.
• Overall responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Flight Operations.
• Has the authority to exercise operational control over all aircraft operations.
• Must be highly knowledgeable of Company manuals, FAA Regulations, Operation Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other pertinent information relating to the duties.
• Develop standard operating procedures and policies.
• Ensures the effectiveness of standardization training.
• Evaluates the suitability of aircrafts and simulators. Makes recommendations in consideration to the evaluations.
• Responsible for motivation and continual training of all instructors and operational staff.
• Oversees the conduct of flight and academic training.
• Counsels students who have difficulty with the program to ensure their success.
• Monitors and evaluates instructor performance and productivity.
• Reviews all student progress reports to ensure proper corrective action is being taken.
• Works to resolve impending problems in coordination with the VP of Operations and Chief Flight Instructor.
• Ensures all flight instructor training is conducted in a timely manner and assist if necessary.
• Responsible to report in weekly VTC meetings on the behalf of the Site.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong leadership and management experience
• Knowledge of aviation curriculum
• Excellent conflict resolution abilities
• Knowledge of aviation and aircraft systems
• Experience with budget preparation, monitoring and administration
• Capability to read and decipher financial statements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency utilizing Excel, Word and Windows
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
• Must be flexible and able to work evening, weekends and holidays

Availability to travel as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Training/Development, Education, Business or equivalent experience
• Aviation experience – pilot training, instrument certification (preferred)

Annual Salary range $50K-60K DOE
