These preadmission screening and resident review (PASRR) Level II evaluations typically occur in nursing home or hospital settings. Evaluators confirm if individuals meet the criteria for SMI or ID/RC, and assess the level of care needs and provide recommendations for ongoing care.What you’ll do:Ensure accurate evaluations and recommendations through accurate clinical assessment of the patient, relevant records, and collateral sources of individuals.Recommend the appropriate level of care and service needs based on the patient’s physical, behavioral, and psychological functioning.Complete assessments on time and within the scope of practice to meet all contractual requirements.Strong typing and computer skills are required with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.Ensure compliance with program workflows.Excellent clinical experience and knowledge of psychiatric disorders as defined by the most current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual in use in North Carolina.Knowledge of standards of practice related to mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and other disorders typically requiring long-term care services and supports.Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, individuals and families, and other community supports.Ability to complete person-centered assessments with meaningful and appropriate recommendations for level of care.Communicate effectively with individuals and groups through spoken, written, and electronic media.Ability to attend to detail, effectively prioritize, and execute tasks in a timely manner.Working knowledge of Federal Regulation 42 CFR, Chapter 483.The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties that management may deem necessary from time to time.QualificationsWhat you’ll need:Required Qualifications / ExperienceActive unrestricted licensure in North Carolina in the healthcare field such as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), or RN (with a master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing or relevant field).Graduation from an accredited College with a relevant Degree Program.A clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and reliable transportation to travel in the state of North Carolina.3 years of practical experience in working with mental illness.3 years of experience in working with individuals with intellectual disability, developmental disabilities, or related conditions.Required Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesMedical record abstracting skills.Knowledge of the organization of medical records, medical terminology, and disease process.Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a team environment.Flexibility and strong organizational skills.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and internet/web navigation.Please apply using the following link: https://apply.workable.com/kepro/j/FE98F67138/Additional InformationWhy us?We are a team of experienced and caring leaders, clinicians, pioneering technologists, and industry professionals who come together to redefine expectations for the healthcare industry.
