Compensation: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour depending on experience

Location: Englewood, CO

In-Office, Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Position Summary 

On behalf of CNS Cares (“CNS” or “Company”), this position is responsible for administration of team member benefits in all company operations, coordinating and overseeing leave programs, and assure compliance with local, state, and Federal regulations. As needed, this position provides special guidance and assistance to all locations on various team member benefit plans; surveys industry and/or community to determine company's competitive position in team member benefits. This position develops, recommends, and installs approved, new, or modified plans and team member benefits policies and supervises administration of existing plans.

Essential Functions 

The successful team member will be comfortable communicating with others at all levels of the organization, committed to regular and punctual attendance, and perform with utmost integrity in all aspects of the position.

  • Administer various team member benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  • Oversees Workers’ Compensation claims and ensure policies are up to date and in compliance.
  • Aid team members with return to work from Leaves of Absence and Workers’ Comp.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment requirements.
  • Conduct and organize open enrollment and on-going benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Maintain team member benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in HR system for payroll deduction.
  • Assist team members with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.
  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
  • Administer COBRA.
  • Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements.
  • Prepare and set up meetings designed to help team members obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required team member notices.
  • Prepare and maintain biweekly team member reports, new-hire and leave of absence reports. 
  • Assure validation of certifications and licenses for current team members to assure all federal, state, and local requirements are met.
  • Manage and establish processes for any annual background rescreening requirements.
  • Manage annual health screens, both elective and required for all team members.
  • Manage benefits reporting requirements for a variety of benefits.
  • Assure company compliance with provisions of Team member Retirement Income Security Act and the Affordable Care Act.
  • Supervise preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies. 
  • Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits and report necessary or suggested changes to management. 
  • Coordinate company benefits with government-sponsored programs.
  • Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. 
  • Maintain contact in person, and by phone or mail, with hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, team members, and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education/Training 

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field; and two years of human resources experience and/or training.

Preferred:

  • PHR Certification
  • Three years of human resources experience and/or training
  • At least two (2) years of benefits administration
