CNO Financial Group’s IT Business Unit is hiring an IT Portfolio Manager to track and drive outcomes across a portfolio of IT programs and projects for the enterprise. The IT Portfolio Manager will partner with the Agile Transformation Team and IT Vice Presidents to ensure that IT remains adaptive to the evolving needs of the business. As an IT Portfolio Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading enterprise IT project portfolio governance process, including analysis of portfolio investments and reporting to enable effective decision-making and delivering business value for the company.
• Ensuring that the IT portfolio of projects remains aligned with the company's focus and objectives.
• Driving capacity optimization using modeling and management mechanisms that complement and supplement the resource management information and functionality available within our capacity management tools.
• Proactively identifying risks and issues within the portfolio and designing and implementing mitigation plans.
• Establishing and maintaining effective communication and teamwork across IT teams, business partners, and external vendors.
• Continuously supervise and assess the health and performance of the portfolio and take vital actions to improve overall portfolio performance and delivery.

The IT Portfolio Manager position is well-suited for you if you have:

• Worked closely with executive team members and sponsors to ensure business alignment
• Demonstrable experience in IT portfolio management, including portfolio governance, analysis, and reporting
• Proven experience in stakeholder management and communication
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and team management skills

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or similar area or 8 years of meaningful experience
• Prior experience as a Program Manager
• Experience in an Agile environment

What will set you apart:

• Experience in SAFe lean portfolio management
• Direct experience with Agile transformation group and scaled Agile environment
• High-level budget experience and explaining human capital themes

Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and are encouraged to come into the office at least twice per month. You may be asked to travel to corporate office periodically.

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
