What is the Position?
CNL Law Firm, PLLC is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal with 2-5 years of relevant experience to join our team. As a Family Law Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting our attorneys in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence matters.
Responsibilities:
Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing a caseload of family law matters, including organizing and maintaining case files, drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, and conducting legal research.
Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates on case progress, and respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements and deadlines.
Discovery Support: Assist in the discovery process by organizing, reviewing, and summarizing documents, drafting discovery requests and responses, and preparing for depositions.
Trial Preparation: Coordinate trial preparation activities, including preparing trial exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks, and assisting attorneys during trial proceedings.
Billing and Administrative Tasks: Assist with billing tasks such as tracking and entering billable hours, and maintaining accurate records. Perform general administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence. Meet minimum daily billing requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2-5 years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal, with a strong understanding of family law procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
Education: Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Ethical Standards: Uphold the highest ethical standards, maintain client confidentiality, and adhere to professional codes of conduct and legal regulations.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
