Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and evaluate design concepts including materials, specifications, equipment, or machines.
• Evaluate new and existing circuits for appropriate functionality and the ability to pass electrical qualification tests.
• Utilize simulation software and proof-of-concept prototypes as needed to validate new circuits and subsystems.
• Perform hardware validation, driver development, and support manufacturing programming through test flows.
• Determine purpose, application, and feasibility of new or enhancement of existing products or processes.
• Create and update documentation for designs, and all phases of the project.
• Participate in reviews of schematics, layout, IO selection, and hardware requirements for others in the team
• Work with external customers, distributors, vendors, or suppliers to initiate new designs and solve problems.
• Coordinate engineering efforts and provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers.
• Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications.
• May provide or assist with training needs as it relates to new or existing products or processes.
• Demonstrates support for company culture in their daily actions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
• Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work as a team and with direct supervision

This position pays: $76,000 – $109,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

• Entry level engineer with Bachelors' degree

• Master's degree in engineering preferred - Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Electrical disciplines preferred

• Minimum of an internship in related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Novice skill level with a mainstream schematic capture tool such as Altium, OrCAD or equivalent
• Novice skill level using LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB or equivalent tools for circuit analysis and modeling
• Basic awareness skill analyzing and simulation of PCB layout with mainstream SI/PI Signal and Power Integrity analysis tools
• Novice skill level using test equipment such has logic analyzers, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers and other circuit design test equipment
• Basic awareness of interfaces and devices: SPI, I2C, MIPI-CSI, USB, CAN, Ethernet, PCIe, LVDS, GPIO, UART, EEPROM, Flash, External Memories, eMMC, DDR RAM, SOC
• Responsive to working in an AGILE environment
• Problem-solving capabilities and experience
• Basic awareness with simulation tools such as Hyperlynx, Ansys HFSS, SIwave
• Basic awareness using JIRA and Confluence or similar process tools
• Basic awareness of cybersecurity concepts and implementation
• Basic awareness of configuration management tools such as SVN, Git or similar, requirements tools (e.g., Polarion or similar)
• Travel: Up to 10% domestically and international
