Job Summary

We have immediate need for a male Recovery Assistants in the North Haven area and surrounding towns. As a Recovery Assistant, you will support, teach ,and assist the individual in performing various personal care services as necessary to meet the individual’s needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for supporting, teaching, and assist the individual to integrate well into their living environment.

• Supervising and supporting with personal care, including baths, personal hygiene, changing bed linen, dressing/undressing, toileting activities, and light housekeeping
• Assisting client with grocery selection, teach meal preparation and budgeting for shopping
• Assist and teach individual with laundry
• Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly
• Adhering to the Organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct

Qualifications and Skills

Job Requirements: Tact, patience, and empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and the impaired are essential for this key position in our Agency.

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• Home Health Aide Training Certification/Certified CNA
• Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Agency
• 1 year of hands-on work experience, preferred (can include experience as a companion/homemaking, home health aide, certified nursing assistant, CNA, HHA, in a home care setting )
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
• Licensed driver with reliable automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $15.69 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
