Job Title: Philanthropy Associate (Temporary)

CMT Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and strategic Philanthropy Associate to join our development team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the cultivation and stewardship of corporate, foundation, and individual philanthropists through the creation of strategic communications. This part-time position requires a commitment of 15 hours per week and offers flexibility, with the possibility of renewal. The candidate will report to the Director of Donor Relations and collaborate with the Corporate and Foundation Relations Director and other professionals within the Montgomery College Foundation. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience drafting development reports to funders, strategic campaign documents and/or other relevant communications.

Client: Montgomery College (you will be an employee of CMT Services, Inc. working on a contract assignment)

Work Hours: 16 - 20 Hours/week

Duration: 15 hours per week for 16 weeks (Expected end is June 2024 – could be extended)

Responsibilities:

  1.  Grant and Proposal Writing:- Research, draft, write, and edit grant proposals and funding requests.
    - Prepare follow-up reports for completed projects.
  2. Donor Communications:- Review and contribute to annual appeals, articles for Foundation Focus, and other donor communications.
    - Collaborate with the team to enhance the impact of donor outreach.
  3. Strategic Thinking:- Demonstrate strategic and creative thinking, linking the Foundation’s mission, goals, and objectives to funders’ interests and priorities.
  4. Location and Hours- Work in Montgomery College’s Central Services building in Rockville, MD.

- 16 - 20 hours/week between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Teleworking is possible)

Additional Details:

- This is a casual temporary position.
- Flexible schedule of up to 20 hours per week.
- The position is renewable based on performance and organizational needs.
